CBD Infused Breakfast Recipe: Hash, but not as you know it.

CBD Infused Breakfast

Cascadia Blooms have been providing the CBD community with high-quality CBD hemp flower for a few years now, with glowing reviews and many satisfied CBD smokers. But what if you don’t smoke? Don’t panic. There are many alternative ways to take CBD, and CBD flower is no different.

Packing a bowl or rolling a blunt may be the go-to method for many customers who use our products, and we say more power to them. However, to assume that smoking CBD flower is the only way to unlock our hemp’s potential means missing out on some amazing alternatives.

CBD in food is definitely a viable method of taking your dosage and opens up a world of possibilities. If you love creating mouth-watering dishes and love high-quality CBD, then this guide is for you. CBD infused edibles are becoming more popular, with many companies creating their own offerings. That’s all well and good, but many of us prefer to create our own. Sometimes nothing beats the satisfaction that comes from your first CBD infused bite- apart from the relaxation you feel when it takes effect!

Breakfast is an important part of any successful day, and your morning CBD routine also plays a valuable role. CBD in the morning sets you up for the day ahead and can allow you to meet stress and challenges with a cool, calm mind. So why not combine the two? CBD infused products, including your morning breakfast, are an excellent way to start your day. If smoking CBD isn’t for you, or you’re a foodie with a penchant for premium CBD edibles, check out our CBD breakfast recipe below.

CBD Infused Potato Hash

2 breakfast sausages, cut into half-inch slices

1 Onion, diced

2 medium potatoes, cubed. (Yukon Golds work well, but add your favorite!)

1 Jalapeno, diced

½ Tbsp cannabutter- recipe here

½ Tbsp Olive Oil

1 egg per hungry CBD lover

Hot sauce and Pico de gallo for garnish

Garlic powder, salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

1. Pre-heat the cannabutter and olive oil to your pan over medium-high heat.

2. Throw in your onion, jalapeno, potatoes, and sausages. Season well with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir continuously until the sausage is cooked and your ingredients are a nice golden brown. Remember- color means flavor! Check your potatoes have softened by cutting one in two with a spoon.

3. Remove hash mix from the pan, and divide it into bowls.

4. Fry required amount of eggs in the pan, using salt and pepper to taste. Once ready, top each bowl with your fried eggs.

5. Garnish with a heaped tablespoon of Pico de Gallo and a dash (or 10) of hot sauce.

Mix and Match

As with any good recipe for CBD edibles, these ingredients are interchangeable. We all love our own creations, and this is one of ours. If you’re vegan, swap out the cannabutter for CBD infused coconut oil and ditch the sausage. If you prefer a bit more of a kick in the pants, up the Schoville level with a few extra Jalapenos.

However you make this CBD recipe your own, the hero of the dish is always going to be the CBD itself. One major benefit of using our CBD flower for infusions as opposed to throwing in CBD oil is the flavor. Our CBD flower comes packed with beneficial terpenes, heady citrus notes, chocolatey overtones, and a whole cornucopia of sympathetic flavors that will make your CBD breakfast pop.

Great recipe, but how do I infuse CBD flower?

Creating your own CBD coconut oil or CBD cannabutter is easier than it sounds! A lot of CBD infused edibles work well with our CBD flower strains, and we’re excited to have our customers get creative. Our cannabutter recipe is one of the best we’ve tested- using Cascadia Bloom’s high-quality flower always yields tasty results. If you prefer CBD coconut oil, check out the recipe here.

With a bit of time and practice, you’ll be able to add a CBD twist to your favorite recipes at a moment’s notice. The only issue you’ll have is which of our amazing CBD flowers to choose from,

Which CBD flower should you use for your CBD infusions?

The short answer is that the choice is yours! Any good CBD recipe goes through a trial and error phase, where you find what works out best for you. There are a lot of factors to consider- Sativa or Indica? Which Terpenes play well with your ingredients? What effects are you trying to achieve? This is one of the reasons we created the Cascadia Blooms sampler packs.

Each pack contains a carefully curated selection of strains, allowing you to pick and choose from a range of premium CBD flower tops. Choose from Indica, Sativa, or a mixture of both- either way, you’re guaranteed organic, high-quality CBD tops bursting with pungent terpenes. Check out our sampler guide to help you make an informed decision.
